Josh Hughes from the Great Falls-based video game development company Team KAIZEN released some more details today (Saturday) about next weekend’s visit from the PlayStation Greatness Awaits Truck.

The event, which is a free mini video game expo and block party, will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23 at the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art.

According to the release, the truck will, “have games playable to the public that are in various stages of development–meaning you’ll be playing games that won’t be hitting store shelves until later this year or 2015,” it states. “On top of that, (Team KAIZEN) will have food trucks, a cosplay (costume) presence and the PlayStation Truck also will have their own contests.”

Two popular area bands, The Helligans and Hell City Kitty, will be performing as well. The event is open to families and is free to the public.

Hughes said he can hardly wait for next Saturday.

“Thanks to your work in the voting contest, Great Falls ROCKED the Greatness Awaits competition!” he said. “Let’s all mark the 23rd and have fun enjoying the reward. See you at the Square!”

Keep checking back here next week as more information is released about the event.
