Star Anna performs free show at Bert and Ernies on Friday
If you’re looking to escape the Black Friday crowds, Bert and Ernie’s in Great Falls offers you the perfect opportunity to do just that and enjoy some high-quality music.
Talented Seattle-based Star Anna returns to the Electric City to perform a solo set from her new albums. The show starts at 7 p.m. Star Anna last played here in 2011 with her previous band the Laughing Dogs.
She released her latest album “Go To Hell” earlier this year. It’s, “a dark, haunting collection of songs that capture the essence of betrayal, regret and hope,” it states on her webpage. “‘Go to Hell’ delivers melodic, soaring folk-rock with an Americana heart, best described as Americana-soul and it will penetrate right to your core.”
Local fans may remember Star Anna as she has performed in Great Falls twice in the past four years with her old band the Laughing Dogs.
You can support Star Anna by visiting her Patreon Page, where she has several goals listed including funds for video equipment and an expanded tour to the east coast.
“My hope with all of this is to be able to put my focus on the music I make and to be able to continue sharing it with the world. I want to be able to start touring more consistently for longer periods of time and to further destinations (the whole USA for starters),” she says on her page. “I want to put out an EP and print more t-shirts too! I also want to deepen the interaction and connection with my fans, as they are the reason I’ve gotten this far.”
She also released a digital-download only album earlier this year titled “The Sky Is Falling,” which she recorded before “Go To Hell.”
