A. Hooker’s Gallery holds chili feed next month to raise money for Great Falls food bank
Start next month off right by helping raise some money for the Great Falls Community Food Bank at the annual “Eat to Feed Others” Chili Feed.
The fundraiser takes place on Oct. 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. at A. Hooker’s Gallery in Great Falls, located at 925 Central Ave. W.
The owners, Lori Fay and Bill Strizich, will be serving homemade chili and corn bread all evening. Admission is $10 or $5 with the inclusion of a nonperishable food item.
The two opened the frame and art gallery in 2002. It’s named in memory of Arlene Hooker Fay, who was a well-known local artist who was best remembered for her Native American portraits.
She was inducted into the Blackfeet Tribe and was one of the founding members of the Northwest Rendezvous Group. She also was a three time People’s Choice Winner and a Best of Show Winner at the C. M. Russell Art Auction. She died in 2001.
